Tribal Council voted to distribute General Welfare (GWE) funds to all Cowlitz Tribal members. The form to request GWE funds was mailed to members on March 8, 2021.
We are dedicated to making sure GWE funds, now and in the future, are distributed to all Cowlitz Tribal members.
Cowlitz Tribal Foundation Statewide Fund
Cowlitz Tribal Foundation Statewide Fund Board established in 2019 is expanding and is recruiting up to 5 (five) new board of trustee members.
The Cowlitz Tribal Foundation Statewide Fund is an arm of the Tribe that exists to provide grants for the benefit of the people and communities of Washington State and to demonstrate the commitment of the Cowlitz Tribe and ilani to community involvement and improvement.

It is very important to us that the virtual General Council meeting is run as effectively as possible. We have been looking for an outside source to help us meet the needs of this large and unique virtual meeting. After many unsuccessful attempts, we believe we found a company take can help host the meeting.
St. Mary's Update: 10-22-2020
Last week the Tribe has had air quality and mold testing done in all unoccupied spaces of the St. Mary’s facility. Preliminary results have been released (very large and complex reports).
We are following up with the testing company to get clarity on the testing results and identify areas that will require further testing and possibly remediation.
